Is the XCAM 4K waterproof?
It is IP65 rated, which covers rain, splashes and dust. IP65 is not a submersion rating — it is not intended for swimming or diving.
How heavy is it?
43.5g, small enough to clip to a jacket, helmet or bag strap without noticing it.
Does it have night vision?
No. The two XCAM action cameras are built for daylight outdoor use. For night vision, choose one of the XCAM security models.
How is it different from the XCAM 4K Pro?
Both record 4K/30fps and are IP65. The Pro adds 6-axis optical stabilisation for smoother handheld footage and a wider 156° field of view versus 142°.
Does this camera need a subscription?
No. It records locally to a microSD card, so there is no monthly fee and no cloud plan required to record or play back footage.
Can it record while charging?
Yes. It runs on USB power while recording, so you can use it as a permanently powered camera or unplug it and rely on the battery.
Is it legal to use this camera?
